Coach John has been teaching swimming for years TBD, from New York's most respected swim schools to private pools across South Florida. After years of watching kids struggle in crowded group classes, he founded Sharkyz on one belief: most swimmers learn faster with focused, one-on-one attention — in the water they already trust.
We won't tell you private is always better. But for the vast majority of swimmers we've taught, focused attention beats waiting in line for a turn.

Ages 3–17. We build water safety, comfort, and stroke skills in the comfort of your own pool. Most kids reach their first big milestone — independent floating, swimming across the pool, or full strokes — within 6–10 lessons.
Most of our adult students have never had a formal lesson. Some are afraid of water. Some swim laps but want better form. Some are recovering from injury and need low-impact movement. We meet you exactly where you are — no judgment, no pressure.
For swim-team athletes who want to drop seconds off their times. Coach John has trained swimmers who've competed at state and regional levels. We focus on technique, starts, turns, and the unsexy reps that win races.

For kids under 13, yes — a parent or trusted adult must be on the property. For adult learners and older teens, no.
We teach in pools of all shapes and sizes — salt, chlorine, fresh. We'll let you know after your initial consultation if there's a fit issue.

Kids' lessons are typically 30 minutes. Adult lessons are 45 minutes. Competitive sessions and parties run 60 minutes or longer.
